Please try to stop this medication gradually. Depression doesn't need a medication. It needs a medication for someone who's completely desparate. As long as you're posting here then you're still able to think on your feet. Then why not change your life style?
I mean why the need for Prozac or any other medication?

Because when I don't take medication for depression I would not have the energy to even be on a computer. Life is a gift I don't want sometimes and I will take whatever medication that helps me feel better. I have tried everything. If this was something I could just snap out of I would.

Your comments that depression doesn't need a medication only show that you don't understand clinical depression at all. It's not the same as what people so comonly refer to as 'feeling depressed'. Clinical depression is a real, life threatening illness. When diagnosed correctly, going on mdeication can bring true quality of life back.
I am posting and thinking on my feet - but I wouldnt be if I wasn't on Prozac. I'd be in bed. All the time. And that's not a healthy lifestyle to live.

I have not been on any, however my ex was. He was much more mellow on prozac. He was off the wall with the other meds he tried. He wasnt right on them. Prozac gives him the right balance.
