here in BC Canada we are plagues with bug kill in our forests. I am talking about a large areas with horrible red trees. Miles and miles of it. What is happening is that the pine beetle is killing our pine trees plus a spruce bud worm has invaded. They tell us that the warm winters with no prolonged temputure of -30 for 2 weeks has caused these bugs to explode and now they are not controlable. They have tried a sterile insect program and spraying, but both of these were too little too late. Now we are faced with clear cut logging. How terribly sad.
