Can they win it all without Steve Yzerman or Shanahan? I'm sure they could, but a Cup this season will require certain players to perform consistently for the second half and throughout the postseason. In my opinion the offense rests in the hands and skates of Datsyuk and Zetterburg. If they can continue their stellar play and insane chemistry into the playoffs the Wings will truly be a contender. Who do you beleive holds the keys to a good playoff run?

I dont think the wings have a shot at the cup this year, much the same as last year.
They plain and simple have to many europeans on the team. Europeans just play for the money and the easy regular season.
The playoffs are played every other day and its a different game all together. Its hard hitting and non stop in your face.
If the Wings face a team such as Calgary,Nashville, or San Jose. They will be hard pressed to take it to 6 games.
Look for Calgary or Nashville to come out of the west this year.
