Anil Kumble, one of the greatest spinners India has produced ever. He is a scare for the opposition and is a genius with the ball in his hands. But his batting and fielding has always been a matter of concern. Now that he is aging abd certainly we need him for the WC, how do you think that we should be using him/ In my opinion, he should be made to play in only couple of one dayers in the ODI series and then even in the WC, we should not play him in the matches that do not matter much. The reason is that he is an old man now and is susceptible to getting injured. Indeed, he would dive after the ball rolls beyond him:-) What do you guys think?

i think kumble is in the team as a genuin bowler and we dont have to really worry about his batting performances. and i think he is still fit and still able to do the job.

Being fit and being a sloppy fielder are two different things. Looking from the perspective of him being older in age, his chances of getting injured are more.

Anup... thats where the risk is lying. If in this process, we get him injured then we loose such a useful resource. I believe we should be judicious in his use.
