buying new pet

hey friends i want to buy a dog,either german shefford or doberman
help me in choosing one.
if u have ny of them then let me know the experiences whether good or bad abt it so that can help me in deciding abt it

i had 2 german shepards, and they were awesome dogs, very smart and grew big fast! we had to get rid of them early on because we had a new house and they were digging up our backyard, so we realized we'll get a dog when we were settled in! but i def. want to get another someday!
