Is this some sort of "Hypocritical Oxymoron" or just "Selfish Insanity"~?
President Bush has made the decision to send 21,000 more U.S. troops into Iraq in an effort to 'halt the country's spiral into sectarian civil war'..
In what is being called a "troop surge", the U.S. military will send 21,500 ADDITIONAL troops to Baghdad & the explosive Anbar province..
Is it just adding 20,000+ more targets? Is 'Democracy', by U.S.'s standards, even possible there? I agree that it is unknown if 500,000 troops could guarantee that..not even 1 million. Regardless, it doesn't look like there is any effort on the Bush Administration's part to begin an end to this war, this bloodshed..It appears to be just the opposite..Oh, but instead, it also appears that his administration feels they may be accomplishing that, not by pulling troops back out..But instead, by sending in a 'surge'~?
Any Comments on This~?

Well, the decision about sending more troops will be made my congress soon, and i don think the democrats will pass this bill. But lets see what happens.
As far as the complexity of bringing the troops back is concerned, I think it is not that simple to just pull your troops out. One must remember that the US invaded Iraq on the pretext of WMDs, and nothing came out. Now it is struggling to help bring the country back on its feet, and if the troops are pulled back, the US will lose vital Arab support. So the situation is very complex for them.

Well the decision by the US president is dumb and idiotic. More troops will not help solve the problem. The problem lies in the way Iraq is managed and until all stakeholders are not involved, the situation will not improve.
And more troops will not be sent, the Democrats wont let that happen!

I so hope you are right in regards to the now additional power of the Democrats in office..I am praying for any vetos regarding this 'troop surge' to be sent out..But according to the articles i have read on this, the dicision has already been made to do so..(?) And I also agree with you on the problem laying in the different 'governmental' management of Iraq in regards to it's own country..I feel we should let them govern their own country, and pull our troops out instead of sending MORE in~
Is this as crazy an idea as it sounds? Or is the action of bringing our boys home now simply not that SIMPLE~?
Anyone..Your input, knowledge on this -Please-

I in my country stand behind our leaders like most of the citizens, have always disagree with Bush since the beginning. It is shocking to hear that Bush is sending more armies to Iraq. I think he is having some sort of delusion? Sending as many troops as he want will NEVER solve the problems. I really doubt he cares for his people. He probably keep excuses that he do things like this because he care, but in reality he probably treat his people as, what, lamb? It has always been a time to choose another person for President.
