I like PHP and the reason is very simple.
First of all it is very easy and handy.
It is powerful like other script language.
it is similar to C and one can eaisly learn.
it is open source code and free.

PHP is definitely the easier language to master and most of the people that make websites for fun would use PHP.
However, the majority of the market is dominated by ASP.NET with C# and VB.NET. Why? It is more robust, offers flexibility in languages and databases and datasources(MS SQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS Access) . Object orientation allows to be used at an enterprise level.
I am a PHP programmer but I'm seeking to moving onto .NET.

There is no problem in using OOP in PHP.
I'm actually learning it myself right now:)

PHP is not only open source but also free and cross-plattaform; I think this is best and personally I don't like much of ASP's syntax

I prefer PHP for Web-development. I'm preferring PHP over ASP.Net because it is free and good support.

I think PHP is far better in so many ways. It's easier yo learn and implement, it's an open source, it's flexible and convenient, these are just a few of the advantages. When I tried using ASP.NET, it was really difficult and for that reason, I doubt if I'm ever going to attempt using it again.

I prefer to use php,it is open source and it is as easy as .NET, microsoft has started dominated the entire world. at one point in future the world completly depend on it products. surely there is going to be great hike in microsoft products.and it is difficult at that point to switch to other open technologies like PHP. so better start using PHP and work to improve its features. There is no difficulty in usin PHP
