Having a daughter and a son I can say that my son was definately more emotional and cried alot more than my daughter.
Boys are very sensitive and crave alot of affection when they are little.
I also work with children and I find it sad when I hear parents tell their sons not to cry, as they see it as being weak.
Boys should be allowed to express their emotions the same as girls. Crying is not a sign of weakness, its a way of releasing tension, whether male or female.
Its just not culturally excepted in most countries to allow a boy to cry.
Mums who let their boys cry and do not ridicule them are great mums and will produce well adjusted young men.
I know that if I had stopped my son from expressing his emotions and having a good cry now and then, he would have become quite aggressive as a means of releasing his tension.
