Will gmail be better if we get to organize mails in folders like yahoomail ?

I agree, especially since Gmail already has the "unlimited" storage space to boot. I even have yet to figure out how to use those labels! LOL

Definitely, The folder management. in gmail, will give a self PC look to us. Which will be more fascinating to all of us. Its just like we are accessing the PC with the small Hard Disk with growing space. Thanks for starting this discussion.

Once, i registerred on gmail but never used it now. I read urs this post and think that urs idea is good. If gmail is n't giving this option and facility then they should give it and i think that if they act upon on urs this idea then obeviuosly the number of their members will increase and its good for them.

I too agree with you there is scope for improvement in gmail. Its options like labels and archive make us spend more time moving mail than what we have in my folders in yahoomail. So i believe they should make labels similar to my folders option so that we don't have to archive mails after labeling. They can have mails move to a particular label folder and removed from inbox.

With a whopping 2.8 gb space...It will be the greatest email service in a decade. :)

hi i think that g mail is good becoz we attach files very fastly in it.and it has more storage capacity . give me ur views abt. it and enjoy money making

I thought there was a need for folders on gmail too until I started exploring how to use the labels, and now I find that works perfectly well. Something no one seems to have mentioned is the way gmail links up 'conversations'. When you get a reply to an email both emails come up together, linked. And certainly the search engine on it is superb - as long as you put in the complete word! The only thing that niggles me is that there isn't a keyboard shortcut to delete an email. I hate having to use the mouse for anything more than I need.

I like 2 features of yahoomail one is what you said and the other is the saperate id to avoide getting spams.I miss those features a lot when i use Gmail.

Ya gmail is still better than yahoo. Actually gmail is very fast to access than yahoo. Only one drawback of gmail is it does not allows us to keep our email in organized directories

i never tried about organizing my mail. i think there is no such facility in gmail.

There are: the folders are "labels" -- you can add any amount of labels to each conversation, and can always sort each message into the different labels, which are EXACTLY like folders, except that you can have more than one label per conversation. So let's say you have a label for your dog and a label for your mom. If you had a conversation about your dog with your mom, you'd be able to label it both "dog" and "mom" and find the conversation under each label instead of having to decide to place it in one folder.

i realy dont like yahoomail, especialy with this beta version ... for example its realy hard to delete my letters ... gmail is great for me and im using it a lot ;)

Using the 'Filter' and 'Label' together gives you the similar behavior as the yahoo folder. Go to Settings- create new filter. There u can specify the various filtering conditions like - from, to , subject or mail containing/not containing specific words etc...Then select Apply label for this filtering condition. You can either choose existing label or create a new one. With this all your incoming mails are applied appropriate labels.
