Worst Misconception about your faith.

What is the worst thing that others (outside your religion) get wrong about your faith. For me as a Zoroastrian, it is that we worship fire. We do not, we worship Ahura Mazda. So what is it?

That I worship the devil, that I practice blood sacrifices, and that I'm evil. Those are some of the worst misconceptions about being Pagan. I have had more then my share of people, including my family who are Catholics, assume that if you are pagan that you are consorting with evil. That it is dangerous and can cause you to go to hell. Most I just tell them the basic truth, some I will give links to do research on the web and others I just ignore and walk away from. It's not worth trying to correct them because they don't want to hear it.

I have friends who are Pagans and others who are Wiccans. Some of the things they have had said to them or about them are mind-boggling. It can be a hard road being a pagan what with other peoples misconceptions about what you believe.
