Try to check if your wiring is properly done. =)
Also, are you sure it isn't hardware defect? If you are using a separate sound card (not the one built-in into the motherboard), make sure that it isn't defective. If it is built-in, maybe the problem is on the hardware. =)
I sure hope your card is still under warranty if this is the case. =)

Do you have an onboard sound card?Then it's posibly to be from the sound card,and tell us what kind of soundcard do you have,and what speakers.

change the sound card. if your sound card is onboard. than buy pci sound card and disable the onboard sound and try pci sound card. i am computer hardware eng. from last six year. thats my experience. you can try it.
