i have blueyonder which is provided by a cable company in the uk who ive been with for about 5 years now with virtually no problems. we have 2 main types of connection in the uk one is cable (we have 2 providers but they have merged somewhat) and ADSL adsl dosent give you a reliable constant speed for instand 8mb broadband on adsl would give you an average of 6mb where as on a cable connection you would get 8mb constant. not everyone can get cable but its much better than adsl if you can get it and you dont have to use usb to connect your modem to the pc you can use an ethernet/network card as well as usb. i use the ethernet connection as i do not trust the reliability of usb and i have good reasoning for it, plus the fact that usb eats processor power thus slowing your pc down.

I use DSL. We get service through the cable company. It's a package deal, the phone, the cable and the internet. I have problems with my puter sometimes, but I think it's because my computer is a cheap wal-mart computer that I got 6 years ago.

NO, the person DID mean "Mbps". It's DSL connection, broadband connection, so it's megabits per sec, not kilobits per sec anymore. I'm having 100Mbps too for my internet connection.

I have cable connection through Clearwire. I really like it. I have not had any problems with it since I've had it (two months now). My sister actually has had it for about a year now and she has not had any problems either.

right now i am using broadband, its ok.. i have problems with it especially if the weather is bad.. because the signal is from an antena.. so it sucks sometimes other times its good. but when we signed up with them. we signed a 2 yr contratct.. so that sucks. after the 2 years we are going to get cable

well, I have 2 kinds of connection, at work, it is DSL, and at home it is ADSL. Both perform more or less the same for me, but I prefer DSL as it gives less down time, but then again, I guess it is more related to the service provider rather than the type of connection.
