Have you faced this situation?

I did that most recently with a watch. I did not put it back in its regular place. I spent 4 months looking everywhere for it. It turned out to be in a goblet on my dresser. I know I had looked on the dresser many times, and my mother-in-law dusted the dresser at least twice. My husband just happened to see it in the goblet as he was walking by. I have been looking for many things that because I did not put them in the *usual* place, I walk right by them without seeing them because they are not supposed to be there. After a while I stop looking and start at a later time. By then I may remember where I really put it.

I often experience that. I think I'm not so old to have a sight problem! But until now I'm still wondering how come that happens...

it happened to me many times!!! I was looking for something, i check any place where i know i put it... After a long time of searching, I get tired then rest for a while and search the table again... Then I found it... Thanks!!!...

Are you talking about alztimers or just just forgetting something? Because i some times go to do sometimg and get side track and then forget what i was going to do that happens all the time

I think this happens for all. i guess the reason for this is: 'your view of life for every thing', to explain more... for example, when you walking on the same street for more than one time, each time you're looking for adifferent thing may be parked cars, signs, people and so on. that's all mam!

Yes, I have also experienced this hppening rarely. I think, this may be the reason of searching the thing by absent-mindedness. Thanks.

I have amazing experience about these. I was searching for my goggles and at later time my mother told me that what you are searching and I told them and they amazingly replied me that please check mirror. and that was funniest thing for me.

Yes i have also this type of experience and i feel that its just our mistake. Actually there would be the thing but we due to our hurry would not be able to trace it but after sometime when we check that again then we could trace the thing.

I think it is because when you first look for something, you go over the ordinary places, but after a while, you may have also cleared up around it. For instance, I had a CD, I was looking for, and for the life of me I could not find it. I went all through the house, searching for this Mastercook Cd, took all the Cds from my Cd holder and no luck. It was not there. I checked the closet, went through my husband's and then I still could not find it. Then later on, I decided to check some papers on top of the min file cabinets. Yes, there it was under those piles of papers.

It happened to me many times.. when I was a kid and won't be able to find my thing then I simply cry for hours .. I remember I was crying for one of my Workbook which I had to submit next day in school.. I searched for it everywhere .. but still I missed it and I started crying .. again after searching it at the same place after half an hour I got it:)

hehe....i have to say it's almost a normal phenomenon for everyone. when you try to find something,it cannot be finded. when you give it up, some time later,it dramatically appears in your eyes. in fact, i think other things also go the same way.just take love for example ,when you love one , the one doesn't love you, when you leave the one , the one just know how you are important for him or her. hehe... maybe that just means one attribution of life. happy posting!

yes,sometime when i faced this situation, i will be very excited to find the thing after check one place for several time, maybe the reason is from our heart for when we easy to get a thing,we won't feel anything,if it is very hard to get,we will cherish it

Ya many times.I don't remember any of them as I mostly ignore these things.
