Every time i add up a new discussion its does not add up my count below my pic but when i respond to a discussion it does add up. what causes it?

It is because you only get credit for responding to discussions. The only time you get a point for your discussions is when the first person responds.

Thanks i did notice that i did not get response for last 4 discussions of mine.

Yes,because there should be someone give respond to your discussions.Then only the number beside your nick will increase.
