Have you ever rescued an animal?

Yes, I've rescued several animals over the years. I have found kitties trapped in storm drains and those that were hit by vehicles and just left laying in the road. I have stopped and picked up turtles crossing the road so they wouldn't be killed. My biggest rescue effort was after Hurricane Katrina-I volunteered for ten months with the rescue operations for animals in my hometown. Helping animals has been something that I have always enjoyed and it has certainly warmed my heart. The saddest part is when one that I have rescued and tried to nurse back to health has passed away in my arms. Most people I know understand my love for animals and understand how dedicated I am to lending a helping hand.
