Beckham's $250 mil signup for LA Galaxy for 5 years , which pays him $1 mil a week has created sevral speculations all around the world. Former English captain , Becks move to join Galaxy has raised doubts on the motives of the US club who added Beckham into their ranks as a publicity stunt. It has already been reported by CNN that several thousands of preseason tickets have already been sold by the club , generating profits for the Club months before even the Player has joined it. But what Beckham states is that this move is not in anyway to boost his earnings but to raise the popularity of Football or as they call it in the US soccer. Bringing football to the level of popluar and traditional US sports such as Bseball , basketball and American footaball can be a quite a long way on the road according to Beckhams's comments. So what will this be his final move in his career before he retires ?? The 'green' grasses of LA ?

well his career was already going downhill since europe demoted him from the captain spot, that's why he resigned, i think it'll give him a good amount of money before he retires, c in the u.s. he's a celebrity, not a good soccer player, so L.A.'s reasoning is to attract more americans to the sport cause we know this awesome celebrity will be playing here! but i think if it does attract americans it'll only work for like a yr. or 2.
