My daughter has two horses and I love them to bits. Everytime I go to visit, I always ask to be taken out to see the horses. If I stand to chat to my daughter the horses will nuzzle my neck so that I will turn my attention to them. I find that they are just a friendly as dogs and they can be very playful. My grandaughter rides them in showjumping competions, but one of them can be very stubborn and often refuses to jump.

I have a horse ranch in Northern Maryland and enjoy the owning horses very much. Horses have feelings very similair to people but just can't express themselves like humans can. I have also learned from experience that horses have the ability to express themselves in ways that can make you go crazy trying to figure out what or why their doing something the way they are. Horses also pick up on our emotions, feelings, and actions too. People also make the mistake of thinking that having a horse ranch is all about riding everyday and never doing any work. Just a reality check, it's about 20% riding and 80% cleaning and dirty work. Not only do you have to take care of the horses with vet bills, farrier bills, and feed. You also have to spend numerous days and hours maintaining the pastures, fencing, and stalls. Overall it's a great experience that I would recommend for anyone willing to work hard and that loves dealing with human like animals.

Yes Of course, O like them a lot!Basically I am a vet by profession and I am working for a Stud Farm, wherte we breed Throughbred Horses for the purpose of Breeding. I am staying on the farm and we have around three hundred horses on thge farm. Just imagine how beautiful is the place and the scene , where you are living in a house surronded by 300 horses! I like it! I like horses as they are most Royal, gentle, beautiful to look at and very elegent creatures. Since ours is a breeding unit I come accross the horsesright from the age of 1 day to 20 years old ones! Each group does have a peculiarity, Like the young horses which are like infants, we call them as foals are just naughty as kids and some times they are very notorius. They spend most of their time inplayind and adventuring new things, The yearlings which are almost like teenaged chldren behave like them, males often seen spending theirtime in wrestling and chasing each other in paddocks. The brood mares are very gentle and kind hearted they are always there to look after the yung ones. I have seen several mares allowing the other foals to suckle her oither than her own! How intelligent and consideratye are these dumb cratures. I love my horses and they do love me! They reciprocate the love and affection. People often ask how can I make out the different horses as they feel all of them they look alike. But believe me each horse is different , it does have a different look and different personality. I can literally converse with the horses. They understand what I want to imply and they co-operate with me. It won't take much time to tame a ferocious horse for me. I believe we can train horses or for that matter any animals with patience, love and affection. Horses do get bored very soon. So one need to be careful, taking this factor into consideration, while trying to teach any new thing to the horse! I can write a lot about horses as really love this animal. But I think it is sufficient here forthis discussion! Thanks!

I am so lucky to have my mare Bibi. They are the most gentle, inquisitive animals I know of. They are also the most misunderstood. So often, I see horses left in stables or yards for days at a time because their owners are lazy or have a 'better schedule.' They are compromised with irregular and poor hoof care, are not fed or wormed correctly, or are handled by people who only manage to confuse them. They are indeed wise. If my horse baulks at something, I can guarantee that there is something wrong, be it my riding, a snake in the grass, or something wrong with the horsefloat. They are the most forgiving creatures, always ready to offer their friendship when you offer yours. And to add to the list of traits, they are also the cheekiest!

i do feel that horses are friendly animals but i feel that they are better off if they are left in the wild rather being domesticated and being ill fed...one important thing u missed out is that horses are the most loyal animals on this planet

I used to raise Arabian horse and Racking horses when I was living in the States. Having moved to Scotland, I don't have one at present. That doesn't mean I don't want one. I love horses. I had boarded a friend's horse on my land back home in the States. I took care of him for quite a while till I realized that I could take care of one of my own. Grooming horses are very theraputic, brush the worries away with the flick of a brush. I would love to have another horse!

I like horses actually i like almost all domestic animals, but if i wanna keep an animal i prefer the dogs.
I think the dog is similar to the horse in many ways for example loyalty.
Always the girls like the horses i don't know why?I think it is a spiritual conection between the horses and the girls, what do you think about this?

Do I like them? No. I simply adore them. I think they are among the most beautiful animal God created! They have human eyes. Just looking at a horse and you can understand what it has to tell you! I sure love to have one of mine that I could love and care about, but... there is only room for my men (hubby and kid) and my 22 pounds dog in the house! ;-) But every time I am in contact with one, my pleasure is to talk with it and to caress his/her forehead!

I used to own a horse on my parents property. It is a great reward to raise, train and ride your own horse. If I ever have to land with room for horses I would love to get another one or two.

I love horses. My mother has two horses on her farm, and loves them. She and my step-dad go riding every day, and I ride when I'm up there. I've always loved horses. It's great that she has a farm, because I can have my place in the city, and I can visit her when I feel like getting out of here for a while.

If I had the money and a place to keep a horse, then I would be very glad to have a horse. I think that a horse is very beautiful and can be a loyal and true friend. A horse would not mistreat you and would show their true feelings, unlike a lot of people in the world.

I love horses and would want to keep one (or many) if I can afford it and if I'm not living in the city of course, I get to ride horses sometimes but it's far in between and it can be a few months until I get to do that :( Unfortunately I ride different horse each time and can't have a favorite horse even if not mine but it's still a great experience to ride and take care of a horse sometimes.
