A lot of counselors and pyschiatrists still won't work with BPD cases and I am currently reading a book entitled Stop Walking On Eggshells which is about taking your life back when someone you care about has borderline personality disorder it is by Randi Kreger a book I would strongly recommend if you have a loved one who is suffer with this illness. It is a very complex subject and even only now the subject is slowly coming to the light. I couldn't believe that some insurance companies will not insure people with BPD because it is considered 'uncurable' There are some great books on the market like the one I mentioned this one in particular is easy to comprehend and gives you a full picture of just what BPD is and how to cope.

Have you seen the movie, "Girl Interrupted"? It is based on a true story of a young woman who was diagnosed as Borderline Personality Disorder. The theme of the movie is that this diagnosis is abused by the mental health profession in order to obtain more business. I am not saying this is true, just that is the theme of the movie. It was a good movie and may help you understand Borderline Personality Disorder.
