There are traps that catch the mouse without hurting it. Other than that I don't know what to say except get a cat. Then the mouse has a 50-50 chance of surviving if it doesn't just leave because of the threat.

Oh, I thought of something else to say. If you are just looking to lure him out, they LOVE peanut butter.

You can buy a humane trap, which is like a transparent plastic tube. You put the bait in the bottom, then set the door and lay the trap on the floor. The mouse goes inside and the door closes behind it. The mouse is still alive and you can then set it free away from the house. I let mine go in the field at the bottom of my garden and have had no problems since.
I've found a site which tells you how to make your own with things you have about the house, and the instructions are free.:-) You can find that on www.smithsax.btinternet.co.uk/. .
If you don't wish to build your own, then try: www.cnmonline.co.uk/Mice-c-235.html
There's a whole variety of humane traps in here, ranging in price, and including the one I told you about in the previous response, at £4.99. There is a phone number on this site too: 0870 892 1640.
I hope this information is of some help to you. Good luck with dispensing with the mouse. :-)

When I had mice come in the house I would bait my traps with peanut butter......Know it sounds crazy but mice do like peanut butter.....Would get them all the time....Now that I have two cats in the house we don't have anymore......But if you have one mouse you can bet there is more in your house....
