Do you pay any attention to trans fats? Do you try to by product that have 0 trans fat? Or do you think that is a lot of hype about nothing. I try to watch the amount of tran fat I eat to a degree. I do eat some but will by a product that has no trans fat if it is available. How about you, are you concerned about this type of thing?

I am certainly concerned about trans fats because they're a hazard to our health. And what makes it so bad is that food manufacturers don't have to disclose the fact that they do have trans fats in their products if they have less than 500 mg! It can read 0, but still have trans fats! I don't like that one bit. The amount adds up, especially if you eat a lot of that particular product. I read labels like crazy.

Gee I wasn't aware of that. I read labels more than I used to, but probably not as much as I should. I will now thanks for responding.

I try not to buy products that have that stuff in it. However, not all products list it on the label. I think it should be banned all together and then we wouldn't have to worry about looking for it. We don't need it in our foods.

I do look at labels a lot, but usually not until I am at home eating it-LOL. I klnow trans fat is a terrible thing to consume, and I do try to get foods that don't contain it. However, I really don't know what it causes or why it is so bad for you...
