what do you think of women in their forties and above who wear skimpy bikinis on the beach or to the pool?

I don't think that there is any age cut-off for wearing a bikini. If the woman is in shape and has the body for it, then she should wear what she wants to and what she is comfortable with. Even if she doesn't look that great, consider this: plenty of girls in their 20's also wear bikinis when they don't have the figure for it. Is it OK for them because they are young?

I mean they shouldn be bothered about what people think and they should do what they are comfortable with and if u ask me i would say that depends on how good they look and if they dont i just dont see them thats all! :)

I agree with the poster above. If you are over 40 and have the body to wear a bikini then go for it. I think that as long as you feel comfortable wearing it that is the main thing.

the truth of the matter is, i'm talking about myself and i don't have the body for that. oh, i don't mean to say that i have flabs everywhere but there are no curves either. altho that's the least of my problems. what bothers me are the stretchmarks on my tummy from my three pregnancies. they're like charlotte's web. and i don't fancy showing them!

uh-huh! if only everyone thinks like you. some people seem to think they have the monopoly of the world, that's why.

I think women (and men) should dress (whether it be at the pool, shopping, library, wherever) the way they want. If a person doesn't like how another person is dressed or how he or she looks then look the other way. Nothing says we have to look at something we don't like.

leave well and well alone, huh? right! let's stay out of people's business or choices, for this matter.

I think that as long as a woman is comfortable with her body she should be able to wear what she wants. Especially in this day and age of negative body images, eating disorders, and plastic surgery.

correct! it's all about felling good about yourself and not about what others think, right?
