the importance of friends

well i personally prefer to have a bunch or group of friends than by just one closefriend..coz i have a circle of friends and we are really close with each other..we even considere our self best of friends..

Well, I have 5 close friends(even though I don't see or talk to them too much, they are my boys). Good acquaintances are good to have. I like having some close friends and then acquaintances. I don't want to forget my family as they are all very important!

It depends from person to person , i would prefer to have a group of friends.

i want to have one close friend than a bundle of friends whom you cannot count on it times of problems, comparing to one close friend who will always be there for you through ups and downs.. for happy and lonely times. a person must not have manny friends,the important is that there one friend you can count on in times of problems.

I've actually had both kinds at different times in my life. Life seemed like one huge party when I had heaps of the 'aquaintence' type friends but they soon disappear in a crisis. I now have a few very close friends who are REAL friends and I much prefer it this way.

I wouldn't trade one true friend for hundreds of acquaintances. There are few things more valuable than people who truly know you and care about you!

A good friend like my best friend is with you through the thick of it, and really knows you, and you have a history with them, and you can quote the entire Ace Ventura movie with,....... It's funny to me that people read your question wrong, lol, you asked what you would want , either ONE really close friend, or a bunch of AQUAINTANCES?? so many said they wanted a bunch of friends,, lol, BUT anyway,, I would prefer to have ONE close friend versus a bunch of aquaintances for sure. The history with one person is invaluable, and the fact that even if you don't see your best friend for a long time, you always keep the contact, and when you are together it's like you have never been away. Your best friend will stand by you, be supportive throughout your life, whereas aquaintances are just fleeting people that you incidentally come into contact with throughout your life,, they come and they go!!
