How do you find good books to read?

I uses publishers catalog because I prefers some specific authors only. Some times I ask my friends to recommend.

I see what my friends read or some of the books like Harry Potter I hear them from the T.V.

I usually read books my family suggest. Otherwise I read books where the covers catch my eye.

I go by recommendations my friends have made, for the most part. It's hard to find new books to read. I don't trust critics and it's hard to get a good feel from reading the back cover of a book. I have certain authors that I know I like, so that helps some. But for the most part I just rely on my friends.
