Repeated discussions in Mylot :-(

I have obeserved in mylot. There are so many discussions Get repeated most of the times. But about getting paid by mylot. I really hate people doing this. I thought of starting a discussion about getting the payment through paypal, and mylot has paid its members. When i thought of starting a discussion, i saw two discussions in top discussions. So i just left the idea. But when i click on new responses, there are so many discussions about the same, but subject is quite different. Why people do that. As soon as they login, top discussions come up. So you can see mylot payments discussions. Why do they start again and again the same. It is really ridiculous.

because they dont search at first time
About payment I think its'a normal if they post about it. My sister make new topic and also post on her blog. So many poeple doubt this site, And if new member see about how much ppl which already get payment, I think it will be no doubt anymore ^^

I do that also. It is much easier to join an existing discussion than it is to start a whole new one. When I use the search function, some really strange stuff comes up. Things that don't seem to have any relevance to the search topic.

i agree with both of you, i also always search before i post, but since i dont have many idea to post and when i want to start a disccussion i always find other has already start it so i end up only making response until now, but its ok as long as i didnt do anything bad here in mylot that make people upsad :)

This discussion is also a repeat! So maybe you SHOULD look up the discussion as mentioned.....before you start a new one.

Some people are not searching before they start a discussion and then some aree lazy and dont want to think of a topic of their own is what i think is whats going on.

yep, i agree with what he says. some people are very lazy to use search function. i think it's more easy to discuss in existing discussion rather than creating tour own...

Before i start a discussion, i search for it. I searched it. I never got any similiar discussions. So i started it. If there is a discussion with the same topic, i dont start it. i searched 6 pages with the keyword repeated discussions. I never got the one which is similar to the one.

Yes,i too observed repeated discussions in mylot,suddenly i thought of starting the new discussion but when i started this there are already similar discussions.Then i started many of different kinds,then so many responded for different discussions.

What is happening is someone see or thinks of something and rushes to put it down before they loose it. However without searching to see if it has already been posted is causeing a repeat in discussion and it is going to happen and we can not stop it. We are all in here fight to make a few extra buck and even if it mean repeating discussions.

Yes there are many discussions that are about the same subject I would not say that they are being repeated though but do you mean the same person discussing this if so then there must be something wrong with the minds they must be very low to do this and not have anything else they can talk about to discuss on mylot.

U say that you have seen number of times, so give me those links, when i searched now, i get only mine then after in 5th page i got the one which is 5 months old. When i searched before, i never found it. What i am trying to say atleast 2 or 3 pages search would be enough for you to start a discussion. I know it is difficult to search all the pages, atleast one or two before. And also i think you know the difference between questions and discussions. I have got the one which says about questions, not discussions.

I guess its due to the exitement they fell about getting paid =). We must also consider the fact that mylot community is growing and considering the number of members we can't avoid repeat discussions.

I think that you've got a point there. Its just nice to let the new members(who are still in doubt)know that this site is really paying. That fact that this site dont have a page for announcement lets say all the good news or who's been paid, then this is the best way to let other members know that. But talking about the annoucement area, it would be nice if mylot add this feature in the future, it would be very helpful.

Some people are here for nothing but money. The problem with that although the money is nice, it's not like you're making a whole lot here so obsessing over it doesn't really make sense to me. I very rarely start discussions because I can't think of very many truly original discussions to start.

Many people doesn't know about the various sections here at myLot. They just post the new discussions on general category... As the no of members are increasing day by day, chances of duplicacy will be more. Thanks

Some people do this on purpose, whereas others didn't know the same discussions are there, so they post.

i am guilty of posting a discussion that was already out there i didnt relize it was untill after i posted it was a spur of the moment thought it was not done intentionally im sure this happens often i would hope we are not doing it on purpose and if im not paid for it no biggy

You are absolutely right! The thing is many log in to mylot only for earning money, and they are not intersted to looking at what others have started and what are the latest discussion going on. They just start a discussion which comes in their mind and are not bothered whether already a topic is there are not! They can easliy search to see that any topic already exist but they dont do this either! I have also see several topics asking "whther India will win the world cup or not?" or other discussions like "shewag out of team, whats ur opinion". This really makes me sick!
