Copy and paste.

I have tried to post to a discussion and been erased and informed that I had to have 500 posts before I could copy and paste. I don't even know how to copy and paste, and I wouldn't do it anyway. That would be lying by letting people think it was my own words, and I won't do it. Why does this happen? Any ideas? Anyone?

You know, to err is human, but it takes a computer to really foul things up. I do not know what caused this, just the ever present glitch that wanders around in our online world. (I wonder what a glitch looks like?) I do have a suggestion though: If you have been going straight to submit, without preview, try hitting the preview response first. Good luck

If you don't even know how to copy and paste, how did you try to copy and paste in the first place? The 500 point level is to keep new people from trying to scam the system. It give you time to get in the habit of actually typing your repsonses. It maintains the quality and integrity of the site.

I was not coping and pasting and I believe that is point of the question. I know I was not.. but like I said it hung there for about 45 secs to a minute then I got the error message. I had typed a long response and had to retype it and that time it went through.

SageMother, What gives you the privilege of pointing fingers at someone else to say they tried to copy and paste when they have already stated that they DON'T KNOW HOW TO COPY AND PASTE? Did you actually read the whole post? I DON'T THINK SO.

Hey thanks for your support there Finlander, I was thinking the same thing about not reading the post to begin with but did not want to be rude. I am new here, don't want to start making waves already, But the post was clear that you were not coping and pasting. Nor was I.. just a fluke I guess. But I can back you up because it happened to me also.

I had that happen to me a few minutes ago. I was responding to a discussion, quite lengthy was my response I might add when I hit post it took a minute or so.. then I got the copy and paste error and I had to retype everything I had just typed... I have no clue. maybe Busy servers or a bug?

I just don't know, but that might have something to do with it. Anyone else have any ideas? Thank you for your response. Keep on trying.
