so should I tell the store or just return it without saying anything? Especially since I give them my business all the time and I can't afford to pay the whole price for a dvd?

YOu should just return it.
Blockbuster, and other outlets like them, check to see if there is anything wrong with their DVD's. They have machines that will take care of flaws in the media. If they didn't then they couldn't sell the outdated DVD'D without constantly getting complaints about the quality of the product.

I guess keeping quiet is bad but its a option if you don't want to pay. If they caught you, might as well pay.
