Since you are online, try looking at the website for HGTV and the DIY Network. They have great ideas and it is usually more satisfying to use your own items and decorate with the colors that you enjoy.

Something I like to decorate walls witht hat is decently cheap and kind of makes it your own... is take photos of things and blow them up and frame them. That way you make it your own... my suggestion would be to take photos of flowers or animals... If you have a nice camera this really lights up a room.

First look at what you have...if the furniture is sturdy enough, consider recovering or slipcovering that chair or couch, painting the coffee table or rearranging the furniture. Do you have a favorite color? Consider purchasing thrift store frames, painting them in that color and putting your favorite pictures in them. Cozy does not mean cluttered--get rid of what you don't love or need--that will help to invite friends and family into your home. Make your bedroom a sanctuary...only allow what needs to be there (don't bring a 35" color TV in there). These are just a few ideas-HTH!Good luck!
