An opening Batsman needs to be very consistent in his performance and needs to be on the wickets as long as he can. Dhoni is a natural hitter and thus he must come in the middle overs when the slog overs need some run scoring. I think the opening must be done by Either Dravid or ganguly.

I think that in the one day cricket dhoni and sehwag have to open. because sehwag is the player which plays like 1 to 2 runs and dhoni is the player of good strokes so in my view it is best combination of the openers.

well , i dont think so .
doni is a pitch hitter.his current number is good for him.

NO HE SHOULD PLAY AT 2 DOWN AT THIS NUMBER HE IS BEST HE CAN PLAY LIKE A MADMAN AND HAS LOTS OF SPACE BY OPENING AT 2 DOWN

i am against this...dhoni cannot open..he just know how to hit the ball and an opener is a person who is expert in judging ball on the basis of swing and length and all such things..but dhoni cannot open he is a better middle order batsmen
