Have you ever raised a pig for food and ever dressed it out yourself? Would you do it again?

Sure have. Until 9 years ago, we always raised our own hogs. We always butchered them, scraped them and cut them up ourselves. We moved 9 years ago and are too close to neighbors for hogs now. We own 8 acres here but I dont think the neighbors would think much of us.
In late fall, my husband, my dad and my brothers would gather together and kill everyones hogs. They would do this at dawn and bring the tenderloin to me as soon as they could. When they were finished, I would have breakfast ready for them. they would eat and move on to the next persons farm to butcher their hog.
We salted down alot of our meat so it had to be cold weather so it would absorb the salt.

I forgot to answer your last question. Yes I would do it again and we did it ever since I was a child. It is so easy
