Hi Satya!
I have dealt with depression issues for many years. Wasn't until after several bouts with deepo depression that "mania" appeared. After a short stay in the hospital for a complete med change, did they diagnose my bipolar. also, ocd, and depression. I have found "talking to" others online to be of great benefit to me. A place to vent and share...
Now taking a 3 med combo that is working great for me. Also, have a therapist, to keep an eye on me so to speak...
hope to hear from you and others soon!!
fondly,
love my cat

You can't cure depression but you can treat it and it can go into remission. Stress can activate it. You could have a chemical imbalance in the brain. Meds help a lot if the depression is serious, therapy, and something called Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Just do a search for it. It was created by a lady named Marsha Linehan

walk in the woods, travel alone, watch funny movies, eat chocolates, talk to a child, lower your standards, embrace changes, and my favorite...let God do His job. I used to be a very depressive person too. I was living a good life but I was sad. Then God took my attention. From then on I just learned how to let go of my bitterness and cynicism and started floating in God's love.

Well, spend more time with your family and friends. Do some things that will make you busy and lastly, if the reason why you are depressed is because somebody has done you wrong, forgive them so that you will ease the burden inside.

This is a good subject to bring up. For me I know it helps if I'm getting enough sleep and eating well, drinking plenty of water, etc.
But most of all it helps to connect with people somehow when I'm feeling down. Either talking with friends in person or on the phone, spending some time with family, or just going out and being around people. I hope this helps. :)
