Does the crime pays? Somebody says the crime does not pays..but i'm not totally sure! what about you?

I believe crime pays to a certain degree. Meaning the person that committed the crime will be punished, however, the victim in the situation probably never will be the same depending on the crime committed, in that token I don't think crime pays.
