Does it really help us -- Wearing helmet?

Wearing helmet while riding a two wheeler is required? dopes it really help us or does it irritate us. anyone can share their views on wearing helmet while riding 2 wheelers. In what way it really helps us or saves us from head injury?

I can give you a first hand experience of the value of a helmet. One day a motor cyclist knocked on a tractor and fell down (in Sri Lanka). The tractor is not a vehicle that can stop instantly, unfortunately his head fell right in front of the big wheel. But his head with the helmet got thrown away on impact and he escaped without a scratch.
"DON'T EVEN DREAM OF RIDING WITHOUT A HELMET"
I am riding my own bike from 1980 and never get onto the bike without a helmet. A motorcycle rider is exposed all roung and your head is like the shell of an egg. Also make sure that you have a genuine one.

yes i do wear helmet its save ur life and even from dust and pollution.!!!!1

It really helps.
I'm a rider too. I have friends who suffered severe head injuries because they do not wear helmet. The adrenalin rush, kinda get into their head..
