When I first joined mylot, I commented on every response that I got. But now, I don't post a comment on all the responses just to say thank you. I do comment on some responses which I appreciate very much or post to get clarification on their response and truly some of the posters go back to your discussions and see your comments and they do clarify things also.
Just comment on responses that you appreciate so much. Some users posted a well thought response, the least thing you should do also is comment on their post. Happy posting.

Thanks to you too ercsa2002! AT least somebody told you that you don't comment and it's just a positive feedback from users. Now I can see that you do respond to them, it's a good start. Thanks again!

It is a real task to answer every response when you managed a quality post that suddenly became popular. I did try to answer too but after a while it just got too impossible due to time constraint.
What I try to do now is to at least answer one response on each page. No offense meant for those I did not answer but I read every response and do my best to rate most of them.

I dont, I only comment if I have something to say to the poster. I think it's a waste of time to just thank everybody for posting. I think it even says in the guidlines not to do it.

In the Mylot rules it actually says that you should NOT thank everyone for commenting on your topic. It's OK to responsd to their comments, but Mylot doesn't want people who say things like "Thank you for your response" to every comment.
I respond to answers that I can comment on and add something. If an answer is really short or doesn't add anything useful, I don't reply to it at all.

we are not supposed to comment on every post, actually it's against mylot's guidelines to do so, it just makes pages bigger for no added value, a "thank you" post even if it includes a few more words is not "quality content" that mylot is keen to build.
I only comment on some responses when I feel is needed, I thank a few people if given me the right answer I was looking for and if I have further comments or if I was asking/giving more explanations, etc

No i dont do that on every comment because sometimes i cant reply to spammers or to people who dont have opinion. But when i see the post which is worth of replying i do that.

When I first started, I did. But it gets harder and harder. I know you don't get paid for it but its just being polite to acknowledge your responses. But then again, some people don't come back to look. I usually go back to look but its ok if the poster didn't say anything to me. I totally understand.

Yeah it depends on the type of response. When i see a reply if i feel i have to say something which comes to my mind immediately just reply.

I don't comment every response I get, only the good ones, which are not too often
