Does anyone have any clue on how to go about registering horses. My wife grew up with horses and we have our own now, but she would like to get them registered and were not sure to quit go about doing this. They are quarterhorses, so Im thinking that it shouldn't be that hard once we get aimed in the right direction.

Go to the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA)website. You should be able to get the information you need there. Most registries require proof of the horses pedigree, namely sire (father), dam (mother) and date of birth. There is also a fee, and I don't know what it is for the AQHA. They may also require photos from all angles of the horse to determine that it is registerable as a quarter horse. For example, if you had a quarter horse but it has a white spot larger than a quarter anywhere on its body OTHER than face and lower legs, you cannot register said horse as a quarter horse.

Go to the AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association) website, it's AQHA.com, I'm sure it'll give you all the information you'll need.
Good luck and enjoy your horses!
