On the whole I try to remain calm particularly if the other person is being offensive because being calm can 'throw them off balance' and perhaps lead to sorting out the issue more easily. Being offensive doesn't help the situation and in the past when I was much younger, I then tended to become defensive. Then I realised that didn't help the situation as there was still conflict, so I went into the neutral/calm manner which I have found to be much more effective in resolving issues.

I agree 100% vir jou ossie... Never run away from your problems because they always come back and much worse, and always stay calm. My girlfriend has this bad habit of getting aggresive, which in the end just doesn't help...

Offensive man. Offense is the best defence.

Its greatly depend on what kind of situations we are facing and I think we need to be flexible with calm mind whenver facing any problems and always know our limits.

I think a mix of both, though I believe I push more than I step back, which often leads me to be percieved more aggressive than I initially mean things.

Not with both. I face a problem always with a optimistic mood because if I could solve a problem then it shows I am successful or else it will prove that I have learnt a lesson and it will tell me better luck next time.

Depends on the situation. If I have done something wrong then I must accept it. But yes sometimes it becomes necessary to get into offensive mode otherwise you may face a knockout punch.
