Do u have problem remembering names of people?

I have this problem of forgeting names of people. I think its because of the number of people i meet everday, at work, disc or family get together. The number is very high and it gets sometimes difficult to remember names of everyone. And to be frank i have been into some of embarassing situations due to this. DOes anyone else has the same problem and can anyone suggest how can i change it.

Haha this reminds me of my highschool days. When i first started highschool. and i met a few people and became friends with. But the problem was i never knew or forgot their names so i would just say 'hey' and come up to them so they'd know im talking to them. But then after a few... months i finaly started to remember their names.
