And the main difference is that SD-RAM has a frequincy of mx 133 MHZ DD-RAm has one up to 1066 MHZ :D

ok cool
but why we are unable to use SD in newest version and also why SD is costlier then DDR

The reason is because they don't make sdram now.It the same thing when edo-ram was more expensive than sd-ram

DDR is new techology dear and SD become obsolete from market and future board slote will not be available for SD ram.
SD- Synchronus Dynamic random access memory
DDR-Double data rate
DDR transfer data with double speed that SD .
SD becomes obsolete now.....

SD- synchronoun Dynamic & DDR-- double data rate. SD is used upto p-III computers & DDR is used in all p-IV computers.

to add to what has been written i would like to mention that as the name goes sdram it is synchronized with the processor bus of your system in other words the fsb
it has a better data transfer rate it constitutes as the main memory of your system
it transfers and stores data on it dynamically thats is till the time the power backup is there and the capacitors can store charge on it
whereas ddr stands for double data rate which is achieved by transferring data in rising and falling edge of the clock cycle
it is advantageous and is used in graphics card is available in three forms ddr ddr2 and latest is ddr3

"SD" stands for Synchronized Data and "DD" means Double Data. DDRs are faster than SDRs. You can distinguish the two by the number of gaps they have on them. SDRs have two while DDRs have only one. =) Oh, and DDR is better than SDR according to my experiences. =)
