The original trait of man is to submit him self and pray to god.
If you think deeper about creation of universe or even yourself you will end up realizing that there is a supreme being, the omniscient and omnipotent who had made this all miracles.
If you bought there is no god, so why a great portion of human being embrace systems of faith called religion?
there's Islam, christian, budha, hindu, majus, mithras, konghucu, taoism and even a paganism is a system of faith which its follower submit themselves to demon as their god.
Someone who claim that he is an atheist obviously make his believe of no god as his god so he devoted to it.

The original trait of man is to survive, as every other live being in the planet.
If I think deeper about the universe I look for quantum theory, astrophysics, and other science areas that can offer me explanation or at least theories that attempt to explain how the universe come to be.
If I look deeper at myself I realize that I am a human, that I will die someday, that I want a good life, and one of the best ways to have one is to respect the others to be respected, don't doing anything that I would not like (it is not a divine order, it is common sense). I see also no miracles, everything that I saw or read about that claimed to be a miracle, had a natural explanation, was a fraud, or was a myth. Like the flood in the bible, a myth.
We are all humans, we have a need to explain, so since we are all humans is natural to expect religions to arise in every culture, and since we are humans but not equal (in toughts and culture, not rights) it is expected that the religions are different. Primitive man needed myths to explain a lot of things, to form the thinking, to try to give meaning to life. I think you should read a lot about theories on religion development, for example, religions as social constructs.
The fact that a great part of human beings believe is not a proof of existence of god. The majority of people believed, in the past, that earth was flat (please I am NOT talking about middle ages!!!), and even so, if there is a god, why so many belief systems?
Someone who is an atheist has a lack of belief in any deities, so please do not say that "Atheists believe there is no god". Many atheists do it, not all of them. Try to imagine that I just don't have belief in any deities. For example, you do not believe in Zeus if you are a christian, it is the same thing, just that I do not have belief in any deities.
