Today almost all the company have a group discussion round before any candidate is selected. But generally students are at sea, as in some firms students get selected because of their aggressive behaviour and at some place they get disqualified because of the same reason. It has become an integral part of any recruitment pattern so understanding of company and post profile becomes more important.
