Have you met anyone who seems like a gold digger?

I work in retail for one of the largest pharmacies in the nation. About a week ago, a woman came in to buy some "self tanner"...the lotion that you apply that turns your skin an unnatural shade of orange. While she was in my line, she was talking to a couple of women standing next to her about working. She said, "I've only been working for a year now and I only do it because otherwise, I'm bored. See, my husband died two years ago and I'm living off of his pension money...I only work to keep myself busy." The two women standing next to her looked rather puzzled, so she continued; "He was a self-made millionaire and that's the life I'm used to. I was a stay at home Mom and I never had to work. As a matter of fact, anyone who wants to date me has to make at LEAST six figures and his car has to be at LEAST as nice as mine and I drive one of those new two door sports cars from Cadillac." The other women were saying some things to her that I was paying attention to because I was too busy trying to comprehend what I had just heard. I almost lost my job that day. I wanted to look her square in the eye and say, "Well*I* like to come to work at my crappy job and get screamed at by rich people like you for $8.00 an hour. Then, I like I go home to my middle class house with my single middle class mother in my not so nice car so I can sit down and worry about whether or not I have enough money to put myself through college. But you know what? She can have her $80,000 car and her mansion on the beach because at least*I* have my pride.

Well, I can honestly say I have met someone like this. She didn't start out like this, but the more I got to know her, and hang around her...the more I saw this side of her. Then, to top things off....when I finally decided I'd had enough of her, and couldn't drop evrything for her, she moved on to my best friend. The problem with that was, it almost caused serious problems between my bes friend and I because my best friend ended up developing feelings for her, and was always jumping to her defense. I don't talk to that chic much anymore. My best friend still talks to her from time to time, but I don't. Ha!!! She still owes me $100!!!
