What drinks have you tried that you can't stand, and you can't see why people like them? For me, I don't know if most scotch is like this, but I got Johnnie Walker Red Label instead of Jack Daniel's. Remind me never to do that again. While smooth, it had a flavor to it that reminded me of cleaning solution - something very strange and chemical. Is all scotch like this? Port wine and other dessert wines are also pretty bad. They are so cloyingly sweet, it's almost traumatizing to my tastebuds, which can't stand super-sweet flavors. I had to wash my mouth out with merlot after one sip of port wine.
