Just my mother. Mostly because she is over bearing, controling, judgemental and let's not forget just plain mean! I am 36 and she has always been like this, she makes everyone around her miserable and she is miserable. I don't understand it.

That sounds just like my mom. She always seems to have a perpetual black dog on her back and everyone in the house are on tiptoes around her. I am glad that I am not living with her any more but my dad does and he calls me regularly to share his woes. It's so sad, I don't know what's bugging her too.

My mom and I try to get along, but a lot stand in our way. We say to each other, "I love you," but when I need her she's never there. Also when I was nine, she put me to raising my two younger brothers with cooking, cleaning, laundry, helping with their homework, babysitting and all while she was gone some where with a man. I love my mom, but still she should be there for me to talk to from time to time. All women need to have a relationship with their mother. I'm still trying now.

i think everyone have much enough problem with their parents. its called friction with each other. it is normal as long as they are understanding about their position and go appreciate to each other.
