Your name reminds me of Pecan Sandies, which I happen to love. Mine is my first initial for Sherrie, middle initial for Lue, last name Anderson and year I was born. Not too original.lol My nickname however is Lucia which is German for little girl. I was given this when I was 5 mo. old and my dad was stationed in Germany. It doesn't fit too well now but has stuck with me for 54 years. All of my friends and family use it instead of Sherrie, except for my dad. He picked the name Sherrie and refuses to call me anything else.

This is an interesting and fun discussion, thanks for thinking of it...My name came about because I am a true Georgia Peach (which is someone that was born and raised in Georgia, and that had always lived here), and the 65 is the year I was born. I think it has a nice little ring to it, and it sounds so southern, I just love it. It is funny though when people (like on gaming sites, etc see it and think it's gap each...which makes no sense). Thanks again for the discussion.
By the way I like your name, my last name is Anderson too.

Now this is too strange. Your last name is Anderson and you live in Georgia. My last name is Anderson and I live in Georgia too. Was born in Columbus but traveled because my father was in the army and then he retired back in Georgia, which is where I have stayed! Never know what you might find on mylot!

Nice to meet a new friend! My husband, myself and a friend of ours have been camping at Unicoi, we are planning on going back in February (I'm pretty sure that's near Dahlonega).

My online name is a simplified version of a name my grandfather gave to me as a child. He was Native American, and it related in a way to his/our spirituality. To use it online seems a bit irreverant to others, but it just feels right to me, as online I feel I can be my purest self, without fear.

and be proud of it as I know you are! I also have some Native American in our family. I guess that is why I love the outdoors, animals and environment.

I'm essentially about half Native American and half Irish. It's a pretty weird mix in ways because there are people in my immediately family that look a lot different than I do.
Once at a powwow a young man asked my grandfather "Who's the little white girl dancing?" and was quite taken about when he replied that it was his granddaughter. Ah, race is such a funny thing.
I am quite proud of both my heritages, though.

Hello Slanderson
I chose my web name a long time ago. It is a family thing we did. I had other brothers and we chose names for the net.
One brother is a graphic designer and he swears by the MAC so he is MacMann
One brother is a fitness instructor and chose FittMann
And I am a website designer and chose WebMann

My first baby was a Rottwieler that I got as an anniversary present from my ex. After I got him my online name has been mom2rottie on a lot of things, he's now 7 yrs old... still has his "baby book" a folder with all his papers from the vet, his collar from when he was 8 weeks old, etc. He's since been joined by 2 human children, another Rott, a lab and a Golden Retriever/ Great Pyrenees.

Our GP is only 8 months old but she's 90 pounds and taller than all 3 of our grown dogs. She's really going to be huge. I'm amazed at how gentle she is with the kids

the first half of my name is my birth sign and the second half was my high school nickname from my best friend (I'd like to think I'm still a 'babe', LOL)

Picked mine mainly because I like ferrets and have kept them in the past.
I tend to use Ferret or some variation of it on the net, usually when I can't have Ferret because it is already in use I tend to go with ScotsFerret, the Scots bit because I am Scottish.

I like that. My son had a ferret for many years. He was such a big baby. He was always gentle, loved to play and was my son's best friend for years. The only thing I disliked about him was the odor and my son would tend to leave him out of the cage so he often did his business in the corners of the room. When the ferret passed away we had to tear up carpet, carpet pad and scrub the floor underneath to try to alleviate the smell. Not sure we ever did, but don't live there now so I can't be sure it didn't finally get better! Thanks for responding

Yeah you find a lot of people tend to be put off ferrets because they smell a bit different but they really are loveable little bundles of fur and so much fun to play with and watch at play.

Good luck with your nursing. It is a great field to be in. Nurses are really needed in our hospitals, they are already overworked and shorthanded.
