Well, it's a sad day in Pittsburgh, or at least in my living room. The top candidate for several of the coaching vacancies around the league and the former offensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ken Whisenhunt, has been hired to coach the Arizona Cardinals. He was the favorite of a lot of Pittsburghers to get the job here, but here's a good fit for the Cardinals with Leinart, Edge and Fitzgerald at his disposal.
First the head coach, now the offensive coordinator...rough time to be a Steelers fan.

The Rooney's know what they are doing- After all the hired Cowher all the years ago- and look how successful he was. If Whisenhunt was top on the list the Rooney's would never have let him make that decision to go to the Cardinals. I think it was a great decision on Whisenhunt's part. He stated himself- the Steelers did not tell him they were not going to hire him.. But they kept bringing in more people to interview.
I think us Steeler fans should not worry yet.. We still have Grimm a couple of defensive coordinators.. Our defense could sure use tuning up..
Here we go Steelers Here we go!

If I were the Cardinals, I would be a little worried that the Steelers, who know more about Whisenhunt than anyone, didn't do more to keep him from leaving.
