Am I the only one who thinks that the stores start putting out the next seasons clothes or holiday things way too early? I went shopping with my daughter this weekend and they already have spring clothes out!!! We haven't even had winter yet. Who wants to think about summer clothes when it is still cool or vise-versa who wants to think about a coat or sweater when it is still hot outside. I don't even want to try on a coat or sweater when it is hot still!!! Then maybe that is why I never seem to get the one I really want because they are already sold out!

Me too. Who wants to look at swim suits when we haven't even had winter yet! Or who wants to try on a coat in the middle of summer. Guess that is why I never get the one I really like if I am buying because by the time I am ready to think about getting one all the good ones are gone!

Right after Christmas we had 4' of snow on the ground and we went to buy snowboots and we went to 7 stores NONE had any! They had all the Valentines Day stuff and swimsuits out. The few things they had for winter were 75% off. It's so rediculous.

It really seems strange to go to a store in the middle of winter needing snow boots and finding maybe flip flops and swim suits. I think we are going to have to start buying two seasons ahead, but then sometimes you don't really know what you might need for that season.

It's hard with little kids too, my boys are 2 and 4, I never know what size they will be in... I could guess but my luck they'd have a growth spurt and not get to wear the stuff!

Here in Australia, the opposite is happening. We are absolutely sweltering. The perspiration is running down our necks from our wet hair. We are too hot and wet to do anything but sit under the fans, or in the air conditioning if you have it.
Of course, the shops are air conditioned, but it still feels really depressing to walk into the stores and see the winter clothing starting to appear. The skin starts to itch with the thought of it.
I'm probably worse than a lot of people. Where I live I don't need any more than a light linen blazer even in the middle of winter. I love the cold, but most people do wear woollies in the winter.
I really can't understand the stores, though. I mean, do they really expect to sell winter clothing in a heat wave?

It is nice to know they don't just do this in the USA. Even to look at a coat or sweater in the heat of summer makes you sweat even more! My husband was in Australia for his R&R many years ago. She said he loved it and wants to go back some day. Maybe that is something we will put on our list to do when we retire!

I know, this drives me nutty also. The Valentines day stuff came out right after Christmas. The only advantage is that stores have their winter stuff on sale now. The day after Valentines day, the Easter stuff with come out.

Yes and then right after Easter it will be 4th of July. I feel like we can't even enjoy one holiday before they have us rushing into the next one! No wonder everyone is in a hurry!!!

I know and then you try to decide should I try another store or not because they probably won't have it either.

Drives me pretty crazy too! We have snow all over the ground, and all the stores have spring clothes. It's especially frustrating when it comes to kid's clothes, because they grow so quickly. I can't buy my son's spring clothes now because I have no idea what size he'll wear by then (he's almost 8 months and he just switched from 12 month clothes to 18 month clothes). So how exactly am I supposed to shop for him?

It is hard when you have a litte one. At that age they grow almost every day it seems but if you wait until spring to buy him spring clothes they will probably be putting out winter clothes or so it seems now days...lol

So true. My granddaughter left her jacket at school. We are on a five week track break so she can't get her jacket and we are experiencing record cold -- 25 degrees outside when I got up this morning. I know that is not cold to some of you, but we are used to temps in the triple digits. I took her to the store to buy her a new one and they looked at me like I was crazy. They had no girls jackets and only one boys jacket left. They did however, have racks and racks of shorts and swimsuits. It is very frustrating for me to have to try anticipate what seasonal items I will need six months in advance or go without.

I can't even imagine trying on a swim suit in the middle of winter. It gets more ridiculous every year.
