I have a friend who breaks open caffiene capsules and snorts them. I feel that this can't be good for him, that is alot of powder to be snorting in his nose. He said that if I can prove it is harmful he will stop; I have researched the internet with no luck. Does anyone know if this is harmful or the long term effects? The only think I can find is rapid heartbest and you can get addicted.

Gosh that's really strange and I can't imagine it being good for you! There's a reason things like that are in capsules. Its so they can break down in the correct section of your stomach. I would say its quite dangerous and will most likely cause long term effects.

Always ask a doctor. I would assume snorting ANYTHING could damage your brain somehow or another. Just ask a doctor and listen to him. ok?

Thank you, I wasn't sure if a doctor would just answer a question like this.

That will make his heart beat faster and also cause damage to his nose tissues. He better be careful doing that. That is dangerous to get addited to caffene pills that way.

It's dangerous to snort ANYTHING at all, because it injures the tissues in your nasal passages. Not only that, but it goes straight to the brain, and affects synapses and nerves there. That's why a lot of doctors don't recommend using nasal sprays of any sorts. It's just not good to stick things, other than air, up your nose, for any reason what so ever.

Thank you so much for your answer, I am still researching online. I hope when he read your response he will quit.
