Degrassi High

I just watched Degrassi for the first time and I am in shock. Television for teenagers has changed since I was in high school. They cover every issue from gay relationships to eating disorders. Do you think it is good for teenagers to watch things like this? I can't decide if it educates them on what they don't want to do or if it shows them behaviors that aren't healthy and encourages them to take part in things like drinking.

I have watched the show for years now. They do cover a lot of issues & I am sure they are issuses teens today may be facing. I don't think most teens that easily influenced by TV, or I should hope not. Maybe it will help them to see others are like them & possibly get help if needed.

I am not sure if this is a new Degrassi High or if it is the one that i used to watch and i thought that it was perfectly fine when i was a teenager! Is it the Degrassi High with Snake and Joey i think??

If they were teens than it is the old one. Though they have been on the new ones as adults. My girls are almost 8 & 6 & I don't think I would let them watch the new one for quite a while.
