where to go ?

I got a metal detector for christmas, bounty hunter pioneer202,my first question like everybody else is where to go,i've been told to go where people gather like parks, school grounds, beaches, campsites, and old empty homesites, and places that would have some sort of historical value. I am in east Tx. should be something around here, but my desire is to go to Arizona and gold hunt.

My brother is really into doing that, and he has found a lot of neat things and some valuable things. He joined a group that has about thirty members in it. and they have been to many places all over the world. Each year they go different places as a group, and other times they go to places that are close. I think that they meet 2 times a month. that might be something that you may want to look into, their may be one close to where you live. He lives in Ohio.

I think a great place to go are old battle fields, I have a friend in California who goes searching for arrow heads near his home. In Europe, It can be used on the first world was battle fields to excellent results
