Well, I'm an American citizen born and raised. I'd like to start off my saying I'm completely offended by all American Citizens being compared to George W. Bush, most American Citizens don't even like George W. Bush! Are some Americans arrogant? Oh you can bet your Aunt Fanny that they are, but ALL Races, ALL Ethnicities, ALL Countries have their arrogant citizens, it's not just Americans. All Americans are different, America is popular for being a huge melting pot of cultures after all. There is at least one citizen in America, that is now an American citizen who has lived somewhere else in the world, at least one. So basically, you're just running yourself around in circles even thinking about this. If there's at least one now American citizen, from every other country on Earth... Then basically you're saying that everyone is arrogant. Ohhh, now see how many circles you can get from a discussion like this? Might as well be chasing your own tail. But seriously... Not all Americans are arrogant, that's like asking if all ( Fill in random country here ) are ignorant.

Your question seriously puts your ignorance into focus. George Bush is a complete idiot, I'll grant you that, but just because he is as he is, doesn't mean that every American citizen is just like him.
And, for your information, American is NOT a race. It's a nationality. America was populated by people from around the globe, which would mean that American's are essentialy the same as everyone else, because they CAME from everywhere else.
I am proud to be an American of French and Welsh stock, with a little bit of native american throw in to spice up the mix. You should concentrate more on worrying about your own flaws than spending time on pointing a finger at an entire nation simply based on the short comings of it's leader.
Your statement is like saying that every Afghani citizen is terrorist simply because Osama Bin Laden is one. It's IGNORANT.

You seem to be a very passionate person, thanks for your response. Really, I don't need a history lesson about who and what people make up america. It's only been shoved down our throats from childhood, for example, "How the West Was Won", "Little House on the Prairie"
All i can say is that i am glad i am not an american. Yeah i have a few flaws, like being an indigenous minority, is that what you mean?

No, that's not what I mean at all.
You're making generalized statements about millions of people simply becase they happened to be born in america. That's not fair at all.
I don't live in a little house in the prairie episode, nor in how the west was won. Those are television shows and movies and both are fictitious.
I found your statements offensive.

u cannot blame the whole country just for the sake of one man. ur five fingers in ur hand are not the same..so how can u say that all americans are arrogant. there are arrogant people in america but there are arrogant people in ur sonutry as well as in my country. its not good to judge point fingers on someone else.

I'm an American and while I'm "proud to be an American," I don't think I'm arrogant. I also didn't vote for Bush in EITHER election. Many of us "arrogant" Americans don't like Bush either...

I guess I would rather be arrogant than ignorant :) All people with blonde hair paint their toenails pink. Brunettes only answer the phone on sundays. Why would anyone lump Americans all together and say they are this or that?

Bush is arrogant. But I personally think that it is kind of unfair to judge his people the same character as he is. I dont like Bush and his policies, but generally I dont have problem with Americans. I believe every nation has flaws, and has its shares of good and bad people. Cheers!

I don't know where you come up with arrogance. I think you're confused and blinded by George Bush. As stated above, many of us don't even like the guy. It's sort of like seeing a woman and thinking she's neat until about 6 months in you realize what a complete loser she is. We're stuck with him until the next election. But he WILL be gone. He's not even arrogant, always strikes me as a little confused.

Being so sure of yourself would merit as being arrogant, also having such a high opinion of ones self is too, so yes i would regard Bush as very arrogant. He has much to consider as a president, but somehow doesn't seem to be making many popular decisions. Thats something for all americans to think about.
Be careful about using women in your analogies, as that is worse than calling all americans arrogant. Perhaps an automoble might be a better example?
