This is for the fact that it connects people. Im in college and I have found 15-20 people that I went to elementary school with. Finding old friends, and keeping in touch with current ones is pretty cool. And beyond that, we live in a world where networking is fairly important. Its not always about what you know, its about who you know. Facebook is fun, clean and simple. What do you guys think?

Hello. Facebook is a very genuine site. Its one of the best social networks out here in the World Wide Web. Its the best and I think offers the most privacy to users at the moment. Its is very simple to use, clean and has a very user friendly interface. I also use orkut and hi5. In this small world and on the internet chat rooms was a thing of the past Social Networking is the present and future of the internet community. This is just my views. No offence to anybody. Cheers facebookers :-)!

Yea, I visit it from time to time. I think it is a good site, however I have had some people just want to add me that I didn't know. I don't add people like that. I think it is very similar to myspace, but specifically for people who are going to high school and/or the university. I think it is a good way to add your school chums, right?

Thanks for introducing a decent site :) Ya, nowadays we can still keep in touch with old friends, especially those classmate or schoolmate, through internet. The advantage of internet is, we can still communicate with friends on the other side of the globe. And it's 7/24 thing too, unless there is a catastrophic network failure :p
Indeed, i had joined several of these free websites, but i am an inactive member, so as my friends. I will introduce to them though, to see if they like it.

Yeah, I used facebook a bit, but kind of stopped paying attention to it! I keep my myspace updated a lot more! I think more of my friends know about myspace too... I do like how they update you on a bunch of peoples stuff so you don't have to message someone the same stuff!

I found people who I went to school with 10 or 15 years ago added me, but then never sent me a comment or even a poke. Eventually I just deleted them because just being "facebook" friends isn't really reconnecting. On the other hand, I have chatted with a few people I was friends with in high school. I'd rather keep my friend count low but genuine, rather than high and full of people who are friends of friends or people who I knew ages ago.

Another good site to find old friends is www.classmates.com
and also www.myspace.com. My 20 year reunion is this summer, and over the last couple of years I have reconnected with alot of friends from my past.

I agree it meets you back with people. Sort of like a conversation reunion!

I think facebooks in fantastic, why....well because unlike myspace it concentrates on being friends with people you know. I like the fact that its not used really to make new friends but to find old friends once again. I have spoken to loads of people now of whom without a site like facebook i would probably have never seen again!!

I would say that I agree with you in the fact that Facebook is a good site, I too have found many of the people that I went to elementary school with the past November. It has also allowed me to get int touch with some of the people I went to high school with again so overall I feel that Facebook has made my life for the better. It also allows the discussion of some very serious topics if you join various groups on there, so it has plenty to offer.
